Ok, should I scream as loud as I can to try and be heard over the din created by GG and Stacy? Cuz I know you’ll want to hear MY melodious (sp) voice. Ok, lemme have a go.

Not to change the pace or anything, but “O God, our times are in your hands. Watch over your servant, Kat, as her days increase; bless and guide her wherever she may be. Strengthen her when she stands, comfort her when discouraged our sorrowful; raise her up if she fall; and in her heart may your peace which passes all understanding, abide in her all the days of her life. Amen.” Birthday blessings to you!

Birthday blessings! Yes, Rev. Dr. Kate had the right idea. Birthdays should be celebrated for the gift they are — to us, for having the priviledge of knowing you. Kat, I am very pleased to have spent a small part of this year of your life with you. May God grant me next year as well. Happy Birthday.

Happy birthday Kat! Hope yours is much better than my husband’s yesterday – poor guy, he offered to do some cleaning and shopping and I, of course, took him up on it, LOL. But our daughter, who wasn’t due from college until the 21st, came home last Friday, as a surprise – so he was very happy and it was enough to make his birthday special.

    Hope yours is special also!

Holy Cow my ears are bleeding! Thanks for those shout outs Stacy, GG and Gela!

Mr. Fab – Lacking a blogging husband, and since you did such a magnificent job honoring your own little Sag wife… you’re officially in charge of writing something magnificent about me.

Dr. Kate and Quilly – Thank your for the blessings, they are always needed and appreciated.

Thank you Laura, my kids were laughing, they said it was the first time they could tell someones eyes were blue in a black and white picture!

Sunflower! You put your birthday boy on slave labor? Shame on you. I’m glad your daughter made it in to cheer him up.

Janet – Last time I actually was called “cute”, nowdays they say “stunning”. (Just kidding!)

Jackie – Thank you! I just love it when you stop by.

FWM – Thanks! You got any words of wisdom for dealing with my Southeastern Ohio son?

Let me add my happy birthday wishes along with everyone else.

I’ll bet with your birthday this close to Christmas you got cheated out of a lot of presents over the years.

Thanks Hammer – I’m sure there were color pictures when I was born, my parents just liked that NOIR element…(it was worth a try)

Bob – You ain’t kidding! I was 30 before I got a birthday present that wasn’t wrapped in Christmas paper! My parents were great, instead of presents they always gave me parties or a night out any place I wanted to go.

birth-‘day’ is too limiting. who has time for that? Birth-week or birth-month gives more satisfying leeway for self-indulgence and celebration!

take advantage! But mostly – have a wonderful one!

The free-lance writer is the person who is paid per piece or per word or perhaps. (Robert Benchley)

Welcome to My Neighborhood!

Shortly after I learned to use a spoon, I learned to use a pencil. Crippled by shyness as a child, I found that the things I couldn't say out loud, I could say with a pen, and then a typewriter. The shyness was overcome with education and age...but the need to write has never left me.
